Welcome!
On this website you will find colourful textured fonts
for designing your document. For example for invitations, letterheads, covers or labels. These fonts were created for use in
Microsoft®Word in connection with the LetterChoice Word Add-In. Use in Word
Download the desired font. You must complete a one-time registration -for free- to download this file. Double-click on the file to install the font. The font is copied automatically into the “LetterChoice” directory in your programs folder.
Once you have restarted Word, you will see a new toolbar called LChoice.
(In Word 2007, you will need to select the Add-Ins tab.)
By clicking on Insert the following dialogue window opens:
In the Fontlist box you can select the font.
You can select the font size using the Size pull-down box or enter a value yourself.
By selecting Horizontal or Vertical you can choose whether the text is orientated horizontally or vertically. If neither of these are chosen then the letters are placed on top of each other.
With the Group option the letters are automatically grouped into one individual object. Once the text has been added to the document the grouping can also be saved again. Otherwise it is also possible to reproduce the grouping. These options are displayed by right-clicking on the added object group.
You can only find the option Word2003 Style in the LChoice Version for Word2007: In Word2007 a grouping of graphics objects is only possible if they have been added in Word2003 style, therefore this option is also automatically selected when choosing Group. For graphics objects which were added in Word2003 style, only the picture effects of Word2003 are available. By double-clicking on the added object these effects are displayed.
You can use the Resize function to change the size of
the letters later. Here, too, you can enter your own value. Here the Resize function will only affect the graphics you have selected.
SelectAll simultaneously marks all
letters inserted with the LChoice Add-In.
SnapToGrid activates and
deactivates the invisible grid over the document. When the grid is turned off,
graphic objects can be positioned to the desired pixel. When this function is
turned on, all objects are aligned with this grid.
The Snap To Shape function makes it
much easier to group letters together. This means that, when
you need to position letters or other graphics, they are automatically placed
at the same height. Snap To Shape can be turned on and off using the button.
Please note: the inserted characters are graphic objects and are not spell-checked. Word Add-In will no longer work if you rename the object image files!
Tips:
For precise positioning of
the letters use the arrow buttons on the keyboard.
If you need a letter (or object group) more than once,
press and hold the Ctrl key while moving and it will be copied.
Don't forget, all Word functions for editing graphics can be used on the
letters you have inserted. You can change the contrast, add various shadows or
mirror images and much more...
